My Experience Using MAC Studio Fix Powder With Foundation
Studio fix comes in various shades and one can match it to their skin tone or their foundation. I prefer using only compact, as I like my skin to breathe at all times and prefer less coverage. For almost a decade I have been using the NC45, which is used for a darker skin tone. Thanks to the winter sun, and less tanning I've upgraded to a whiter shade of the studio fix, NC43.5.
If applied on top of a generous layer of primer or moisturizer (not an oily one), one does not even need a fixer post their entire makeup. I usually use the sponge with just one layer of studio powder fix for the day, and maybe an extra layer for the night.
While you have many options to top it up with highlighter or mineralizer, don't use too much of the studio fix powder. Studio fix applied over blush will make the face look cakey so definitely avoid that even if your cheeks have become too pink.

Hello my lovlies, after my lipsticks, i was keen enough to write about the only foundation that, I possess, the MAC STUDIO FIX PLUS POWDER FOUNDATION, my shade is NC35. All of here must be aware with the NC and NW nomenclature from MAC and certainly i fall amongst the yellow under toned family, hence NC being my shade☺

Studio Fix is a powder and foundation in one that combines good coverage with ease of application! One-step application of foundation and powder! Designed to be used dry, the powder and pigments create a matte, velvety texture! It contains Silica, which helps to maintain a matte finish by absorbing oils on the skin as well as Talc to provide a smoother, less reflective, matte finish! The talc has been milled to a microscopic size to provide a beautiful texture while allowing the skin to breathe! Gives skin a smooth, flawless, all-matte, full-coverage finish! In Detail MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation Review
at first i was kind of ,confused between NC40 and NC 35, but after much consideration, i zeroed on NC35,tough sometimes i do find that it looks a bit lighter on my jaw line ,but that is not much of an issue
At first i went off with a powder foundation because, i know i am a little finicky with anything feeling heavy on my face, but hello who am i kidding i rarely do get time for even this during my rushing draining MBBS ,but it surely is something that i can snap on whenever in doubt or consideration. In the summers I do have used it as powder over once my mac face and body foundation and with that i can say, that this not only is a foundation in it self, but also a good setting powder if you have liquid foundation or bb cream underneath, without making the actual product look cakey.
It does come with a sponge which i rarely have used to apply foundation, but yeah u can use that sponge, by folding to blend in your concealer, as it is soft and somewhat like the beauty blender in texture.
For the coverage of the foundation I do find it do be sheer in coverage, somewhat like a setting powder, but surely more coverage than that ,but it surely is not at par with the L'Oreal true match powder foundation, in terms of coverage, but this foundation is really really good for daily wear if you please. ☺
